Grant Hutchinson has been practicing yoga since 2001 and began meditating while traveling in India and South-East Asia in 2004-5.   His principal yoga practice is in the Ashtanga vinyasa tradition though he also explores the meditative stillness of Yin yoga.  His teaching focusses on the subtle energetics of breathing and meditative body awareness within the movement of the practice.  Grant provides detailed instruction and establishes a supportive, non-competitive environment for internal exploration.   He has studied in depth with Michael Stone at the Centre of Gravity since 2007 and also with Ron Reid and Diane Bruni of The Downward Dog, and Richard Freeman.  Grant left the practice of architecture in 2007 to teach yoga full time.

ELAINE JACKSON
DHARMA TEACHER IN-TRAINING, YOGA TEACHER

Elaine is a yoga teacher, writer and occupational therapist who has been involved with Centre of Gravity for many years. She was drawn to Michael's integration of yoga philosophy and Buddhism with asana, ecology, activism and imagination. It took a long time for Michael to convince her that a daily meditation practice was really necessary, but when he finally succeeded she found that practice really transformed her outlook. She looks upon her ongoing engagement with TCGBA as an opportunity to give back, learn, grow, and create together with a wonderful assortment of dharma friends whom she feels privileged to get to know.
